- Identify and explore outside of family care growing young people's awareness of gender roles and gender equality.
- Decrease stereotypes, deepen young people's awareness and knowledge of gender identity, the role of equality implications of harmonious relations, employment and careers.
- To encourage non-governmental organizations and teachers' skills to include parenting process and the role of gender equality issues in the interpretation through methodological recommendations which formed the basis of research and collaboration with Russian partners lessons learned;
With the activities implemented in the project, we have identified and studied 80 young people's who have been growing in out of family care centres awareness of gender roles and equality, as well as reduced the youth stereotypes and deepened knowledge of the importance of gender equality and harmonious relations with the research and teaching material assistance to non-governmental organizations and improved teachers' skills in dealing with target group. The target group of young people have become from the “information takers” to “information givers” in their environment, collecting and telling the community, discussing, even arguing with their friends, schoolmates and acquaintances. The term "gender equality" has gained a much wider resonance than we have had planned for the project. It should be noted that the interest in these issues has not diminished and weakened, because not only teachers, but also the young people interested in the opportunities to participate in new projects and become more active in society. Consequently, we can conclude that the project's results have been fully achieved.
We keep very close relationship with the out of family care centres involved in this project already for many years and, therefore, the target group was previously known. In these institutions tutor from these institutions worked with children of the orphanage and sessions were held in out of family care centres.
The project had two partners - NGO "Nepaliec viens" and from the Russian Federation "independent women's social center," who gave their unique experience of working with young people at risk. And with the NGO "Nepaliec viens" and with "Independent women's social center" will follow cooperation agreements about further activities for the joint realization. (July 10, 2015 we will take part in "An independent women's social centre’s" 20 Year Anniversary event).
